i though suchi was desgusinting untill just reciently. i went to Osakas resturant and i ate some suchi , it had soft shell crab, eel, avocodo, seaweed and was topped with eel sauce and hot drizzled cheese. and it was delicious. i also tried a tuna one but didn't like it. and i tried a shrimp one it was good but there was a red spice in it that made it very peppery but that one was good.
And suchi will not taste good if it is not sereved correctly. it has to be served at the right tempeture or bacteric grows on it and it makes it taste different and can make you sick.
i wouldn't suggest eatting suchi off a buffet or eat it any where that it is not made after you order it. to eat good suchi go to a huibattchi bar or suchi bar where you food is prepaired in front of you and you can see that it is freash.

and suchi is not cheap so if somewhere is serving really cheap suchi it probably isn't good. normal price is about 10-20 dollars for about 5-8 rolls

thats stuff is NASTY!!

tuna sushi and salmon sushi

I absolutley hate sushi

YES THERE iS

OMG yes

OMG i love fried rice. But anyways, I have never tried sushi because i thought it would be HORRILE. But i went to a party and i had a salmon rool thinggi and i ate like 7 of them! they were half cooked though. i also like papya salad. u should try the shrimp rolls.

well, theres sushi w/o seeweed. idk what the name of it but theres this cooked then cooled shrimp place on rice. you can use chopsticks and eat it like sushi.

there's also another type of sushi called sushi cones. its rice inside this sweet chewy "shell-like" and its very delicious

I love sushi, and no they have different kinds with out seaweed you can try.

I LOVE Chinese food, too!

But I think that Sushi is Japanese. I only tried it one time at this strange dudes house...but I almost gagged. LOL. It was disgusting to me.

But I may be willing to try it again, say, at a decent restaurant.

The sushi at Chinese buffets is not very good. Real sushi from a sushi restaurant is way better. I always thought of it as "bait" but decided to try it when i was a a Japanese hibachi place and it was really good.

You should try sushi mi (sp?), there is no seaweed in it.

I'm not a big fan of sushi either but I recently tried a dynamite roll. It's probably different types of ingredients at different restaurants but the one I tried had crab, salmon and the normal sushi stuff but my favorite part about it was that it was deep fried it was also topped off with this spicy mayo sauce. If your a fan of deep fried stuff you would love this. It was really good.

First, sushi is Japanese. Automatically dismissing 'Chinese buffet' sushi would be like trying a fajita at McDonalds and automatically deciding that anything involving Mexican tortillas is gross.

There are lots of kinds of sushi. Some have seaweed. Some don't. Some have raw fish. Some just have vegetables. Some have cooked eel, or chicken, and some have spicy wasabi in them. There are hundreds of kinds of sushi - until you've gone to a decent Japanese restaurant, don't dismiss it outright. There's got to be at least one kind of sushi you'll enjoy.

I love sushi and not that crappy american style crap.

If you think the stuff they put out at chinese buffets like sushi is what REAL sushi tastes like, you are wrong.
THey use the cheapest seaweed, and pretty much give you a roll that is tough, rubbbery, and lacking in any flavor.
Sushi is usually made with seaweed, but try some REAL sushi, not the cheap stuff they make at the cheapo buffets.
My favorite is Unagi Nigiri, broiled bbq eel (it's cooked, the sauce is kind of sweet, and doesn't taste like fish), with the proper seaweed, it should melt in your mouth....not fight back!
Try some real sushi, it is actually VERY good. I've been eating it since it came into San Francisco in the early '80's, and, look, I'm still alive!

I think its disgusting.

On the other hand, my cousin who spent some time in the East loves it. Ive seen him fillet & clean a mackerel when we,ve been fishing and just eat it..!

No joke by the way (although he does prefer tomato sauce with raw mackerel )

Nothing can beat top quality sushi from a reputable restaurant. I don't recommend eating sushi from a buffet....EVER.

That stuff is nasty period.

There are all sorts of sushi and you should go to a SUSHI restaurant to try sushi, a place that specializes in it, not a Chinese restaurant that might have a limited menu.

There are lots of kinds of sushi, the type without/seaweed is sushi or nigiri. You will probably want to try something with just vegetables and not raw fish for your first time. The California roll is good and does not have seaweed and does not contain actual fish, just a simulated crab stick.

Be careful though, if you don't go to a reputable sushi restaurant you could get hepatitis a.

right here
and i am asian
and love chinese/thai/japanese food
but can't stand sushi
makes me throw up

You use "sushi" and "chinese" together, so get out of here!
