Sweet, tangy, sticky, spicy homemade barbecue sauce?!

Brown sugar, maple syrup, worcestershire sauce, banana catsup and tabasco.

A good grade of honey = sweet, and sticky. Cayenne pepper and grain mustard= spicy, lemon zest for the tangy. Make a small amount and adjust . Can be thinned out with pepper sauce. But don't forget the garlic and onion powders and orange juice..

STICKY BBQ SAUCE

1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 cups packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, mix applesauce, ketchup, packed brown sugar, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic salt and ground cinnamon. Use the mixture to marinate ribs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before preparing as desired. Also use for basting the ribs while cooking.

8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

In small bowl combine all ingredients. Use as barbecue sauce for poultry, beef or pork. Heat any remaining sauce to a boil and serve with meat. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
