the chinese do, and i think the french do too. Their not the same as breakfast pancakes or pikelets you'd find in the western world, but i know that many cultures eat very similar foods as a main meal in the evenings, mostly a savoury variety.

Yes. Very nice too, what they call dollar pancakes, lots of tiny pancakes look like dollars or medallions, were served with honey ham & corn with maple syrup (or honey your choice) and sauteed apples.
I like crepes as well for dinner (similar) as the dessert portion with sweet dressing & fruits.
