Japanese dish vegetarians/vegans look away?!?!

Question: They put live fish or eels into a pan of boiling water with a block of tofu. to escape the heat they burrow into the tofu as it's cooler. then cooked alive making a tofu/fish "loaf".

What's the name of this dish and what are its origins?

Oh my god that's awful! That's torture!

haha i'd like to know!

I'm Japanese, and I've actually never had that....but it sounds delicious. Lulu in case you didn't think about this, fish and eels don't gush blood and kick and cry when you chop their heads off or cook them, unlike cows, chickens, pigs, lamb, deer, etc., everything you percieve as regular food.
I'm sorry I had to rant a little.
Please e-mail me if you figure out the name of this dish*^_^*

That sounds good, actually. I have never had it nor have I heard of it, but it sounds like a good one to try, if it exists. I would be very interested in finding out more.
