Do you have guts to eat "balut"??!

Question: The only part I am able to eat is the yolk and white part.
I can't find myself to eat the fetus because that is too weird for me. To have a whole dead animal in my mouth with it's bone and such, no way no how.

Those eggs with the formed chooks in them?? No way. Not eva

Yes. But only if I open the eggs myself. I cannot stand the dishes containing whole peeled balut. And by the way, balut is also produced and eaten by natives of many parts of Indochina.

you couldn't pay me to eat that! mmm.... partially formed poultry fetuses... yum!

No. Not unless I was on Survivor and they stood between me and a check for a million and being crowned winner by Jeff!

Been there, done that. Don't taste bad, just getting past the thought. And don't look.

possibly. the newly laid leg and they wait until the embryo gorws in the egg and then they boil them. Crack the shell open and eat the insides. It has the hard boiled egg in it along wit the nice surprise of an embryo and all the nice juices inside as well. I am not sure if I would eat it. Not into embryo myself. I ll ask my phillipino friend at school if hes ever eaten it there, since it is a delicacy in that country. But Andrew Zimmern Sure got a kick out of it

I don't understand. Guts? What does that have to do with eating balut? Is that like the 'it's macho to eat spicy food' thing? I don't get it. I've have what is called balut. American farmers have eaten it for centuries. We're no longer an agricultural country which is why a lot of people don't know this, but they have. I found it to be, eh, okay. Nothing special.

love it eat it every often
