Can any one tell me the recipe for gongura chicken please?? Thanks in advance?!


Question: Recipe 1 :

Gongura Chicken

50 grams chicken
50 grams onions -- chopped
25 grams green chiles
salt to taste
75 grams oil
2 teaspoons khus khus seeds powder
5 grams garam masala
2 teaspoons cumin seeds
2 teaspoons coriander seeds
20 sm bunch gongura leaves
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon chile powder
cilantro for garnishing

Cut the chicken into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, fry onions until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, chile powder and fry for some more time. Add chicken pieces, salt and cook 15 minutes. While it is cooking, add khus khus powder, garam masala, cumin seeds and coriander seeds. Fry green chiles and gongura leaves in a separate pan and make a thick paste in a blender. Add this paste to the chicken pieces and cook for another 10 minutes. Garnish with cilantro leaves.

This is a Chennai speciality. This recipe is easy & delicious:

GONGURA CHICKEN

Ingredients:

250 gm chicken
7-8 cups chopped gongura leaves
4 onions chopped finely
7-8 green chillies chopped
1 tsp. poppy seeds, powdered
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
? tsp. garam masala
? tsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp. ginger-garlic paste
? cup oil
Salt to taste

Method:

Heat oil in a pan; add the onion pieces and fry. Add the ginger-garlic paste to it and fry till golden brown. Add the chicken pieces and salt to it. Cover and cook on a slow flame till done. Meanwhile cook 'gongura' leaves and chillies separately and grind it to a paste. Add all the powders to the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes. Finally, add the gongura paste and allow it to cook for two more minutes. Serve with hot rice.
