How do you pronounce 'Penne'?!
My mom thinks it's "Penny" pasta.
I think it's "Pey-nay" pasta.
My sister thinks it's "Pen-nay" pasta.
How is it REALLY supposed to be pronounced!? I'm so curious!
Answers: Seriously - my mom, sister, and I have been debating this for several months, and we all know different pronunciations.

I wonder how many of your pronounciation experts are Italian. Unanimity has nothing to do with whether they're correct or not. Once it was unanimous that the earth was flat.
Essentially each vowel in Italian is pronounced in only one way (this changes only when for some accented vowels), and each time that vowel appears it is pronounced the same way. So, in Italy penne is pronounced PEH-neh, with the two e sounds identical. It's not pronounced as a long e, as in "we," and it's not a long a, as in "wane." It's somewhere in between, and thus probably best illustrated as "eh," as in "west."
Penay (the 'e' is an eh sound) (the 'a' is an ayyy sound)
Pen and the letter A. Penne.
Your sister pronouces it right is Pen-Ay

I think you should listen to this guy, the vowels are pronounced in one way like in Spanish I think.
I thought "Penny" at first but I think "Peh-neh" is the right answer.
