Is SUSHI good for you?!

Question: for the most part, fish is great for you, seaweed is also, but just don't over do the rice part. Too much carbs and sugar in that particular rice if you eat too much.

seaweed = good
fish = good
carrots/cucumber = good

looks like its all good :D
just don't go crazy with the dips

As long as it's prepared hygenically. Watch out for bad sushi --had it before -caught salmonella.

On the whole, yes, sushi is a very healthy thing to eat

yup all fish is gd 4 ya full of omega 3!!

high in omega 3. though is a desired taste.

sorry but when i hear or see the word sushi i think of
Mike Wisowski!

XD

ONLY if it is fresh and properly prepared. You'll know if it is good because when it's not good, it tastes horrible. Half rate sushi? Might as well eat at McD's.

yeah it is because it has rice (fill you up) fish (healthy protein) and usually some sort of vegetable (avocado etc, which is healthy, as all veggies are healthy)

and its yummy! so its good for you AND tastes great. why wouldn't you eat it?!

it is raw fish is very healthy and the ginger that comes with it is very good it cleans your stomache.

Hi there xx Happy New Year to you - hope it's a good one!! xx Yes Sushi is good for you - it's very low in fat, but quite filling too because of the lovely sticky rice surrounding the fish :o) xx Fish is very good for you too - oily fish can help people with stiffness of the joints, and apparantly if you have 3 portions of oily fish a week it can lift your mood xx So go ahead and get stuck into that Sushi - but save me a California Roll:o) xxx

I found this site which is quite good: http://www.sushifaq.com/sushiotaku/2006/...

I had Sushi once as mum bought it but never going to try it again as it tasted descusting.

Yes, it's very good for you! It's high in omega 3 fats, which is an essential fat, and can help lower your cholesterol, keeps your blood levels at a healthy range, it boosts your immune system, it's healthy for your heart, your eyesight, and can actually help with depression.

It is fresh and free of chemicals, so it is good for you as part of a balanced diet.

Apparently a lot of the sushi you buy in the supermarket is overloaded with salt. Over a day's salt ration in one small bite.

of all diet in the world...japanese is one of the healthiest..

it's good for you, try asking old folks in rural japan already in their 90s..

The white rice is not unhealthy - you would be using such small amounts, and you would not be eating it every day.

You should only eat the freshest fish possible and the only problem would be if you are allergic to fish and shellfish in particular. I am allergic to prawns and other shell fish, so I do not eat it. I have made them with out, but to me, smoked salmon is not the same.

Yes it is

very good for you .. avoid the spicy mayo .. it's fattening.

don't care, i like it ,i enjoy it,so i eat it, its as simple as that, i just wish it was cheaper then i would eat more

I don't care really, its lovely, in the O2 Arena in London, i went to this Sushi Bar, and its when there are 4 colours on the plates and on the Menu it shows how much each colour costs, and the Plates go round (On something I can't remember the name of) and there was LOADS of choice, you should try it if you go for a visit there!

no because it is not cooked
