The Melting Pot Restaurant... GOOD OR BAD?!

Question: My family and I were going to go there one day... is it good? Also, what kind of food do they have? How does it work? Thanks and God bless!

Best place ever in the world!!! They have a warmer in the middle of the table and you pick the courses and what you want. They melt the ingredients right there in front of you in a fondue pot. And you have to get dessert. It's chocolate (with whatever mix-ins you want) and you get a plate of cheesecake, spongecake, brownies, strawberries, bananas, etc to dip in the chocolate. You will be addicted.

Get ready to eat!

It consists of several courses, and the menus are designed to share (everybody tries a little)

Kind of expensive...can be a romantic date option. The one in my city has great service.

Have fun

They bring the broth out and begin to warm it. You have bite sized portions (shrimp, beef, chicken, veggies, etc.) to stick into the broth and cook for a couple of minutes. Not worth the money in my book.

It's AMAZING it's a fondue restaurant you have many choices, if you do the big night out which is the most fun it is a 4 course meal starts with cheese then salad then main course which you decide on a cooking style and your meat and then you have chocolate its all soooooo yummy
My husband purposed to me at our local melting pot
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!

It's a fun place to go with a group, but can be kind of expensive for the type of food you get.

It is a fondue resturant and it is fun...your family will have a nice time. It is a bit pricey, but it is well worth it.....the dessert is the BEST! Have fun!

It is a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

The food is good but not $50.00 A PERSON MINIMUM good.

You have 2 pot warmers on your table and you get your choice of broth flavors, oil for frying, cheese for dipping, and chocolate for dessert.

You get raw food which you allow to sit in the cooking liquid.
Fondu.

If you have ever worked in the food industry before you will know that the whole meal, from cheese, to bread, to the little, minature lobster tails actually cost the restruant about $10.00 yet their prices start at $50.00.

It is a fun experience but totally not worth the money.

If you go online you might be able to find a coupon... You might even find a "half price gift certificate" that would go a LONG way to making the evening a little better...

It was fun but I wouldn't do it again.

Yes, it was pricey, but I thought it was worth it. I can't eat ALL THAT FOOD though. Next time I go, I'm going to just get the cheese and the chocolate!

I think it's fun to go in a group, you should try it at least once.
I had gone with my family and some other family friends, we had a blast. The kids and all the older people all enjoyed it.
It's always fun in a group! Go and enjoy the experience!
