How much calories in a Chinese Style Egg Tart???!

Question: Ok so I LOVE those things but they're a pastry with egg custard filling. And so it's logical that its like sooooo much calories!!! But can anyone please tell me how much calories is in ONE eggtart? How many calories in only ONE eggtart? And it's Chinese or Hong-Kong styled.

The nutritional analysis will differ based on the ingredients used, baking environment, slightly differing style of pastry/custard etc but below gives you a rough idea (whether to continue stuffing your face or sadly resigning yourself to the occasional treat):

Energy (kcal) - 178
Protein (g) - 4
Total fat (g) - 10
Saturated fat (g) - 5.5
Dietary fibre (g) - 0.7
Carbohydrate (g) - 18
Cholesterol (mg) - 54
Sodium (mg) - 75
Sugar (g) - 7
Monounsaturated fat (g) - 3.2
Polyunsaturated fat (g) - 0.6
Calcium (mg) - 35

While the calorie count itself is not heart stopping, the concern should be the total fat & the saturated fat/total fat ratio which is rather too much PER egg tart (most people lack the discipline to stop at one, just like donuts). Sugar may be higher if your location likes sweeter custards.

Mmm...I love those Egg Tarts too!! I found a site that tells you how to make them. It says about 140 calories each serving but I guess it depends on the recipe they use at the place you get the tarts.

i estimate (i did go to the bakery and ask when i got some stuff, then came back, but they dont even know) about uhhh...ummm...250? i hate to tell you, but they are pretty fattening
