Is "Miso dressing" the same as "Miso Paste"?!

Question: I found a recipe for Miso glazed salmon online and it says to use "Miso Paste", but all I can find at stores near me is a "Miso dressing".... are they the same thing?

miso paste is just what it says.."paste"..miso dressing is basically salad dressing made "with" miso paste..as well as all the other normal dressing ingredients..vinegar, oil etc...so no they are not the same thing but you can use dressing if thats all you can find

I do not think they are the same. Miso Paste is the Miso used for making Miso Soup. There are two kinds: dark and light. Miso Dressing is Miso paste mixed with other ingredients.
