little havana of course, get lots of palm trees and serve exotic drinks

I love Cuban food, I hope you are starting it in NYC. Old Havana therms are nice - they sugest a time of fun and decadence. I would travel anywhere to eat there if you named it for the great Cuban poet José Martí!

Perhaps you could call it Hemingway's. Mojitos would be the House drink. Cuban sammichs would be Ideal with black beans and salsa. Wow what a wonderful Idea! Why Hemingway's? Did you not know that the same guy wrote books fabuloso en cabano at his palatial estate known as barn yard pimps? No i guess not. Wait Barn yad pimp's NAW Pollo con rice now dats da name NOT!

The first thing.......

Don't put anything involving Fidel Castro(no pictures, icons,
nothing about him period) or this Che Guevara guy.
Many people find these characters upsetting and they don't
even represent free enterprise like the restaurant you
are trying to start.
You might find a brick or two being thrown thru your
restaurant's windows.

Just use anything with a Spanish style, and give
it a Spanish name.
You might want to call it Cafe Havana or
The Cuban Bistro.

Just a suggestion and a bit of advice.

call it HAVANA CIGARS as we all know, [even in Australia[ that these are illegal in the US, you could use thesame theme to decorate your restaurant

I can't add anything to what has been already posted, but I am jealous that it won't be in my area! I dated a cuban for awhile and adore the food. YUMM
Make sure you play lots of salsa music...
