What does a typical Armenian cuisine consist of?!

Question: Hi all,
One of my mom's co-workers is coming over for dinner tonight, and I want to make one dish that she would like(something that she eats on a typical basis), she is Armenian. Does anyone, know of what typical dishes are included in an Armenian cuisine? We're making some dishes that are similar to our diet (e.g. rice pilaf, pita bread, and chickpeas), so I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions as to what to prepare that is of Armenian origin and that isn't too hard to make?

Thanks so much in advance! :)

Im Armenian! ooh Im excited someone is asking about Armenian food. Well there is Dolma, which is basically anything stuffed..stuffed tomato, pepper, stuffed grape leaves. There is also kufta, which is meatballs, cooked in tomato sauce, and sadma, which is kuftas rolled in cabbage and simmered in tomato sauce. Also tabbouleh salad. There is also "choreg" which is a very time consuming yet very rewarding type of bread. Its great as a dinner roll, its wonderful for breakfast with coffee. Theres also toorshi which is pickled vegetables. If youd like recipes Id be happy to email some to you. lovesublime_40@yahoo.com. Enjoy!

Meat and potatoes, Meatloaf
I donno what else,,im Italian myself :D

Nivik - garbanzo beans, spinach, onion and tomato paste - absolutely delicious and very easy to make. Good hot or cold with a dark bread and cheese.

There are plenty, most famous ones are kebab, tabuleh, dolma, khnkali. I am sure my friends will give you more ideas, as I stared your question.

The typical Armenian cuisine consists of lots of meat and rice (depending on where you're from).

That's so nice of you to want to serve her something she's familiar with (although I'm sure anything would have sufficed...Armenians are really big on hospitality)!
