I must say Thai is probably my most favorite food. There is this heavenly salad with fish, mint and lettuce that I could eat every day. I also love the pineapple and chicken rice meal. But, I gave you a few suggestions that are my favorites. With Thai restaurants, you have to know their curry heat to enjoy the meal. If it is too hot, you can't taste the flavor. Some restaurants hot is another 's mild. I love green curry!

In my area, my most favorite restaurant is listed in the line below. They make their own coconut milk and the price is very reasonable. Happy eating and I hope this helps.

Tom Kha Gai (Chicken in coconut soup)
Slices of chicken breast gently cooked in coconut sauce with galangal, lemongrass, fresh chilli and coriander.

Khaeng Panaeng Nua (Thai Beef Curry)
Strips of beef cooked in a spicy Panang curry sauce, with Red Chilli's, Kaffir Lime Leaves and Sweet Basil.

Por Pia Tod (Vegetarian Spring Rolls)
Spring rolls filled with mixed vegetables and noodles, deep-fried and served with a sweet plum sauce.

Salad Kai (Vegetarian Salad)
Crisp salad with green beans, baby corn, broccoli, topped with sliced egg and a peanut sauce.

My favorite Thai food would be just simple green curry with rice.
It may not be the same in the states as it is in Thailand, but it still is awesome.

Pad Thai J
Pad See Ew J
Kee Mao J

Try Panang Curry (red curry with lemongrass and lime flavors), Pad See Ew (noodles), Som Tum (green papaya salad), Tom Kha Gai (chicken & coconut soup), Cashew chicken, Thai Holy Basil shrimp... it's all delicious!

I like the Thai Red Curry. Rich and delicious! Also, the mango salads and satays are really good too!

I really like a dish called Chicken Panang.

Penang Chicken Curry, "Penang Gai"

Ingredients:

1 cup chicken, cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 to 3 tablespoons Penang curry paste
2 tablespoons fish sauce
sugar to taste
3 kaffir lime leaves, shredded
10-15 Thai basil leaves, finely shredded

Method:

Place a wok over medium high heat, and warm the coconut milk, but don't let it boil. Add the curry paste, and stir it until the oil begins to separate out and form a thin film, to bring out the maximum flavor. Add the remaining ingredients except the lime leaves and basil leaves, and simmer until the sauce is absorbed and thickened. Add the lime leaves and basil leaves and stir fry briefly before serving.

Garnish with julienned red chili, with Thai jasmine rice, and the usual Thai table condiments.

Note if you particularly like your curries hot, then replace the fish sauce in the cooking with nam pla prik (chillies marinated in fish sauce), that has had at least a week to mature.

try Chicken feet salad and Shrimp Paste Fried Rice.
