I got some dried deer meat what can i do with it?!

Put it in a pan with some butter or oil, cover it and let it simmer. try not to really cook it, you just want to add back some of it's tenderness. Once you have done that you could use it for a stew, or chili, or even just cook it off and add some A1, but I don't actually know how dried up your deer meat is.

If it's really dry, dehydrate it the rest of the way and you have yourself some deer jerky. Soak it 24hours in a sauce that you like, for some added flavor.

I don't how you got hold of the meat, but, Do you know that killing deer is illegal in many countries? So be careful.....

Dried deer meat would be venison jerky and it is quite good just eaten out of hand and that is exactly what we do with it.

Traditionally, American Indians pounded the jerky to dust, then mixed it with fat and dried berries to make pemmican. You can also break it up and simply add it to a stew. Long, slow cooking will reconstitute it.

grind it up fine+ mix into an enchilada sauce , make enchiladas using ground chuck for the rest

a fillet i think can be finely sliced and served on a plate as a hors d'oeuvre(party cold appetizer).delicatesse

If you have dried meat and not cured and smoked,you can chop it into small pieces,put in a bowl and pour boiling water on top just to cover.let set and cool.

(Creamed chipped beef)
In a skillet melt 2-3 tbs shortening or butter and stir in enough flour to make a thick paste , and then pour in the cooled meat and water concoction ,then add milk or cream till you reach the consistancy you like for gravy.season to taste.
serve over bisquits or mashed potatos. works for rice too.

If its cured and smoked its meant to be eaten as is.As it is usually too salty to cook with ,but you can grate it and add to scrambled eggs , and soups.
