Does Greek and Caesar salad come from Greece?!

Question: (Because of the name)

Answers: (Because of the name)

ceasar salad is mexican, it was developed in mexico city in the 30's, greek salad is pretty much american, just inspired by greek ingredients

I have been served Greek salad in Greece but Caesar was a Roman not a Greek. Never the less Caesar salad is Mexican not Roman.

Romans liked to eat door mouse for a salad.

Came from Tijuana

Greek salad is from Greece, and uses ingredients typical of that country. Caesar Salad is a very recent invention. There are many versions of the story, but it all boils down to an inspired on-the-spot concoction by a restaurant chef.

Sorry to all of you, but mine comes from the supermarket, and its not in Greece before you ask !!

Actually Caesar's salad has a dual nationality. It was created by the Italian chef Cesare Cardini in Baja California (Ensenada or Tijuana, I don't remember which). He later opened a restaurant in Mexico City which styled itself as "the home of Caesar Salad".
