Mexican resturant workers?? Hispanics in South US??!


Question: Ok, so I am in love with Mexican food and always go to the local Mexican resturants.
My husband and I also love sweet tea, as we are in the deep south.
For some reason, these resturants make it so much better than I do....and my husband will always take a to-go cup home with him when I have made tea at home.....
Is there anyone out there who knows what Mexican resturants are doing that I am not? This happens at 90% of them, different chains, etc. so I know they must know something I don't.
I make it with 2 family size tea bags and 1 1/4 cups sugar for a gallon size of tea. **and yes, to everyone else, I know that is a lot of sugar, but that's the only way we drink it!!**

Things You'll Need
2 cups Sugar
Pan
1 gallon Water
Large spoon
Stove
6 tea bags
2 cups sugar

Step One: Boil water in a small pan or teakettle.
Step Two: Prepare 6 tea bags of your choice by removing them from their packaging and tying the strings together.
Step Three: Place the bags in the water once it is boiling and turn off the burner.
Step Four: Let the tea steep for about 1 hour, or to your own liking.
Step Five: Pour 2 cups of sugar into a 1 gallon pitcher.
Step Six: Transfer the tea into the pitcher and stir with a large wooden spoon to dissolve the sugar.
Step Seven: Fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water and stir.

Try making a syrup with the sugar instead of just adding it to the hot tea. If you are not using hot tea when you add the sugar then for sure do that. It dissolves it fully. They also may be using a different kind of black tea. There are like a million types of tea in the world and soooo many types of black tea. I would just ask them.
