What's this Asian dessert called?!
Anyone know the name of it or have a recipe?
Answers: I used to eat a dessert in the far north of Malaysia when I was a child, and I saw it served in the far south of Thailand as well. It was a soft, puffy dough stick about 20cm long which would be deep fried and served with a small dish of sweetened condensed milk that you would dip into. Nothing else. I remember seeing it in hawker stalls that also served Indian-style curries with Chapati, so it could be of Indian origin.
