NO ITS CALLED Kaese Spaezle its typical Bavarian and look like noodles and is severed with roasted unions or ham. YUMMMMY I love it.

It's called Spazel. Go to www.germandeli.com

its called spaetzle

.Eye hasit but I remember Fried onoins not roasted

I think you had a form of macaroni and cheese. Spatzel (umlaut over the a) is a dish made by combining flour and water and cooking in simmering water It may also have egg, liver paste or other additives in it. It is delicious, light and fluffy. Not sure what kind of cheese (kase) would have been used but I think Emmenthaler or a type of swiss/cheddar mix would work. It might be considered cheese noodles. See

Epicurus.com for a spatzel recipe
geocities.com/NapaValley/6579/recipes/... for cheese spatzel.

Hope you find this helpful

It is called Kaese spaetzle because it is a spaetzle dish with cheese sprinkled on. Mostly they make it with butter and bread crumbs. It is also usually served with gravy as an alternate dish for potatoes. Sp?tzle is the German spelling.

you can make the spaetzle by combining flour, a couple eggs and water and mixing that till its a stiff, and sticky dough- looks like a really wet bread dough. Push that through a cheese grater with a spatula and it will come out in drops. Make sure you do this over boiling water. When the surface of the water is full, drain with a slotted spoon and place in a bowl with a little oil to coat otherwise they will stick together. Keep squeegeeing the mixture through the grater into the water. Then place them all in a baking dish and top with smoked cheese, and sour cream, and bake in an oven till golden and bubbly.

BTW: the noodles are called Knockles or Nokedli you can look it up!

Spatzle is a fresh egg noodle from gooey, not stiff noodle dough. After cooking in salted water until they float, the spatzle is buttered and served as a carbo like pasta or potatoes. Or, it goes on to be baked with other stuff in a casserole.

it is spatzel which means little sparrow, very easy to make
