Can Bagel Dogs Be Halal?!

Question: Hello, I am a recent African American Muslim convert, and am having trouble getting Halal food in my desert community where the majority is christian people and no jews. If a bagel dog is made only from masticated turkey and/or chicken parts, with no pork, may it be halal without being blessed? I am learning things on my own, so excuse me if I am ignorant. Praise be to Allah.

Check to make sure your bagel dogs are made of chcken, not pork. Also, check with your imam.

Hot dogs and their like are made of the crappiest meat byproducts and are marginally better than dog food or cat food. No Muslim, Jew or other intelligent person will ever put that kind of crappy junk food and meat byproducts in your mouth. There's really no telling what kind of crap is in them. And with or without a Bagel, a traditional Jewish type of bread, you still should avoid them like the plague. I'm a Jew, and vegetarian to boot as complying with Kosher in the USA is impossible outside of Jewish areas. As a Muslim, you'd be better off going vegetarian then you'll NEVER ever have to worrya bout violating Halal again. Think about it. Unless you live where Muslims exist in large numbers, you are out in the cold and Halal becomes impossible. Talk about the rubbish sold commonly in American grocery stores being blessed? If you actually knew how they make this crap and what they make it out of, the word "blessed" would be the last thing on your mind. Throw in substantial amounts of bacteria, fecal matter, blood, urine and other stuff and mix in low grade pork, beef, chicken byproducts with bone and other inedible substances and grind it together, and out comes America's favorite snack esp. at baseball games: the Hotdog.

Pure American trash!

But remember, in Sharia as in the Talmud, if survival is at stake and it is a life or death matter, you can eat ANYTHING even human flesh! Bet you didn't know that... The mandate to survive and thrive preempts or overrules the laws of Halal or Kashrut.

you remind me of the movie and book "The Kon Tiki"
where a muslim on board was using fresh water to bathe.
The crew put a stop to it FAST.
You stress over 2000 year old superstitions or use common sense.. there is NO unclean foods that you describe and there is no special hocus pocus prayers to be said..
SO ...??? Use your common sense...
Here is the Kosher side

just make sure it does not contain pork.
