Are egg roll wrappers the same as won ton wrappers only larger?!

Question: I have an appetizer recipe that calls for won ton wraps but my store does not carry them. Are the egg roll wraps made out of the same stuff so I could just cut them to a smaller size?

It seems the recipes are very close, so I would try it out.

Not really. But yes, you can still make em like wontons. Works great actually.

Oh...., well it would work, but its not that great for em.

they are almost the same. however, egg roll has diced celery, pork, carrot, and others mix vegetable. Wonton only has pork, and green vegetable.

the outcome is the same, however it takes 4 wonton wraps to make an eggroll and you cannot fill them as full as you are trying to keep 4 little squares together with egg wash while filling and rolling

They are pretty much the same. Some wrappers are thicker than others, some are round and some are square, but you can interchange them as needed.

Yes, you can substitute. I was at an asian market today and comparing all the wrappers. You can't tell the difference.

I'm Asian and honestly i can't tell you yes.

I think won ton has more flour and eggs and thicker then in the wrap then egg roll wrap

i think the egg roll has rice in it too but I'm not sure

they have there own taste
here's and example
crab Rangoon filling on egg roll yuck
but the other way around its okay but not as if they were in their right skin

do you get what I'm saying?
