i think couscous is like rice except less heavy on the stomach if you know wat i mean.... but ive never really tried it
Very simple breakdown-It is a form of pasta, since it is made from semolina flour, as most good pastas are-But it is so tiny, most people think it is a grain
It's a Cajun dish made with corn meal. It has the consistency of oatmeal. It can be served sweet or buttery
A Louisianian.
It's pasta that looks alot like rice.
It's a middle eastern style pasta, which, as one person said, is made into teeny-tiny little pieces that look like a grain, It's usually served mixed with mediterranean-type flavorings. You can buy it prepackaged and preseasoned made by a company called "Near East", and it's very good. If you can't find it at your regular grocery store, go to the competition. you can buy multi packs at Sam's, but if you haven't tried it, you might not want to go out and buy bulk.
And if people don't know the answers, WHY do they say stuff like "I think it's like rice, but I never tried it so I don't know"???
What a waste of everyone's time!
Something like rice, I think.
