Shish kebabs?!

Question: I want to make my own as I am a bit skint and have some cubed lamb in the freezer. What seasoning is commonly used to season the meat before grilling?

You can season/marinate them with a little fresh rosemary or thyme. Also add a little coasrse salt & pepper and some finely chopped fresh garlic and that's basically it.

Other options: paprika, ground cumin, fresh chilies... all work well with lamb

I made my own shish kabobs once, but i didn't use a seasoning. I just served it with mint jelly.

Classically rosemary and thyme. It wil never taste the same if you use dried than fresh. If you only have dried put plenty into some red wine and marinade the kebabs overnight.

Try putting some Mrs. Dash on it, some cilantro flakes or parsley. I also marinate the meat before putting it on the skewer, and put some meat tenderizer on before I put it in the marinate. You have to season these things to taste for the most part. Just trying to give you some ideas which have worked for me. Don't forget to put on your veggies also.

all i do is salt pepper and rose water . i leave it for about an hour in the fridge put the meat on skewers and cook on the barby .
i then get some type of salad coleslaw iceberg thats your choice on a nan or pita bread put the kebab meat on top and serve with my fave sauce and wash it down with a stella or three

For middle eastern flavour marinate in minced garlic, lemon juice with a bit a ground cummin for a few hours then grill or BBQ
