Do they eat cats in Italy?!
Answers: I just watched an Italian cooking show. She was preparing rabbit. I thought that was unusual, but my son told me they also that cat is also consumed there. I am dubious, not judging, just dubious. Wondered if that were true
I think along time ago, after WWII, when Europe became so poor, they had no other options. But its not eaten today, and isnt a part of traditional Italian food.
THEY BETTER NOT!!!!!
in china they eat dogs, also horses are eatable.
No, they do that in Haiti.
i think the answer is no , definetely not
No they do not eat cats, but they do eat horse meat. We were stationed there for three years. My daughter's Italian kindergarten teacher tried to get me to some. She said they make it on special occasions.
No, Italians do not eat cat. Rabbit is a game animal wherever they live in the wild, even the US. There are cultural differences in what animals are eaten. Cats and dogs are considered "food" in some Asian countries. Promise to eat 'vegetarian' if I visit the far east.
No they don't eat meat-eating animals, they have only grass-eating animals
no but what we consider pets do get eaten all over the world
dogs-Korea
guinea pigs - Peru
bunnies- anywhere
Never heard of people eating cats.... I would think they'd be pretty tough and grizzely.
It's unusual for us Americans, but in other countries that's their only choice. Eating bats or anything they can find for them to stay alive. In China, they eat mice and cats and stuff. I think in Japan is where some people eat babies. Not sure. But yeah, if you were seeing something like National Geographic or The Learning Channel (TLC), you could see people from different countries eating different stuff. It's just we're used to only eating pigs, cows, fish, and that stuff.
I've heard people here (even my own family) who've eaten shark, alligator, and I know people who've eaten rabbit. Some people also just like to experiment with different things.
I know they eat cat in Asia, not in Italy though. Rabbit is a lot more common than you think.
As a mother, you were right to ask, and the answer is no. But it seems you would be wise to keep a careful watch on what your son is learning, where, and from whom. He seems to be absorbing and then repeating rubbish, as he did to you, and as he grows up that will compromise his intelligence and taint his integrity . Challenge him on the sources of his odd-sounding "information" and he will soon learn to filter the wheat from the chaff.
probably not!
