What kind of food Is Spanish?!

Question: I see that lots of folks who have responded to you greatly confuse Spanish food with Mexican food. The Spanish use lots of fresh seafood & olive oil. They are also known for some of their wines, like sherry. Tapas (little snacks) are a Spanish custom and they are famous for their pastries, many of them originally made by nuns.

Mexican food has many Spanish influences, but it is really a fusion cuisine grounded in the ancient cuisine of the Maya and Aztecs living in Mexico at the time of the Spanish conquest.

Lots of Spanish recipes online. Tapas (little snacks) are quite popular in the US now. The Spanish tortilla made from potato was quite good and several places in the countryside served rabbit and a beef or pig on a spit. Excellent wines and olive oil/ Great country.
