Are Thai Pan Fried Noodles healthy?!

Question: I NEED TO KNOW!

Answers: I NEED TO KNOW!

PAN FRIED NOODLES IS A HEALTHY FOOD BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAID ITS TOO OILY THE POINT IS NOT ALL FOOD FRYING IS NOT OILY SEE AND TASTE FOR YOURSELF AND YOU WILL LIKE IT.ENJOY!!!

Anything with the term "fried" in it does not tend to be healthy.

Anything with the word "fried" in it is not going to be "healthy," but don't worry about it if you eat in moderation.

fried means oily unhealthy

Generally it would be obvious that fried noodles are less healthy than soup noodles, especially with street food where fried noodles & rice often appears rather greasy.

Probably the most well known Thai fried noodle dish is Phad Thai or stir-fried flat rice noodles. It usually comes with either chicken, beef or prawns. Below is a nutritional analysis based on a recipe using lean chicken breast:
Calories (kcal) = 452
Protein (g) = 26
Total Fat (g) = 25
Sat. Fat (g) = 3.9
Cholesterol (mg) = 36
Carbohydrate (g) = 31
Fibre (g) = 4.1
Sodium (mg) = 1094
It's not too bad except that the sodium level is almost half the daily allowance (due to mainly fish sauce) and also watch the fat. Although there's no official RDA for fat, some nutritionists recommend no more than about 60-65g of fat, so this dish alone is about 40%. You have to remember that if you're eating this in a cheap restaurant or roadside stall, the meat will not be as lean & good quality, the oil used will be more & also likely to be more salty. Also remember you'll be eating other meals that day, so you need to consider the whole picture.

As for the other versions using beef & prawns, the beef one is likely to have the most fat and the prawn version to have the lowest calories, fat & protein among the 3 (but watch the cholesterol for most seafood, except fish).

Note there are quite a few other types of Thai fried noodles using different ingredients, so the above is just to give you a rough idea. The key is moderation with any food, no harm with the occasional decadent treat!

Sorry! To much fat for you!
As your illustrious Ben Franklin said "everything in moderation", so is OK once in a while no?

Thai Pan Fried Noodles could be healthier than your regular fast food cheeseburger, depending on the proportion and variety of the veggies in the mix.

Its fried so obviously its not healthy. No fried food in this world is healthy.
