Not all of the recipes on Food network will be traditional Italian. Your best bet is to look for Mario's recipes there (very authentic/traditional). Some of Giada's recipes are traditional as well, but she mixes it up a bit.

Some are and some aren't. I don't usually provide links, because it's so time consuming to go and explore them. However, below is a really good link for Italian food and I think you might enjoy it. I know I've been enjoying it for about six months and so has my family ;)

if you go to allrecipes.com, there are a few people on there who know how to make authentic italian dishes.

Italian Food Forever.com
is really good
I found a wonderful recipe for Italian bread there, made with a nice starter called a Biga and just yesterday found a really nice Italian Sponge Cake recipe

I think also Marcella Hazan has good books, she is quite traditional, without being stuffy.. I have found recipes from her for Nocciola, an Italian ice cream made with hazelnuts and hazelnut praline,.... at one point she taught cuisine in Venice, Italy, but now lives in Florida, USA /// there are two of her books discussed online:
In Italy Online - Our Heritage - Italian Cookbooks ... (just do an online search )

** also Williams-Sonoma.com has some very good Italian food... new things, good things !!
