Poor hygiene from the place you obtained your Pad Thai from it's not the cuisine

cross contamination..

I took a food safety course and they say it is very hard to pinpoint where you got food poisoning so it may not even be the pad thai at all.

Since it contains shrimp and meat, there's the possibility of cross contamination. However, food poisoning can take a while to incubate, so don't automatically assume it was the Pad Thai.
If you really think it was the Thai food (like if you had it for dinner and woke up sick) just find another Thai restaurant.
If the Thai place is where you eat all the time, you might complain to the management, since perhaps it was a one time problem.
Also, if your symptoms are severe, go see a doctor.

Just because you barf your dinner it may not have anything to do with the food It may have been your drinks or soap that did not rinse off,
beer drinking pizza eaters often barf but the others that shared don't..
Food poisoning strike several or all..You just had a bad day
BTW once ate what I thought was a bamboo shoot that was ginger,, delicious meal but dumped it in the parking lot by the car... same just months ago with a dish of scollop's in a cheese sauce I had a free sample of a red wine and up it came..
Poisoning NO bad mix..
