Lasagne in Corningware Dish (Sort of Thick Glass)?!

Question: Made a huge dish of Lasagne meant for a couple of weeks down the track. Is it O.K. to freeze it in its dish or should I take it out (can't imagine how??). Any tips would be handy thank you.

GOOD MORNING MY DEAR!

THIS THE WAY I DO IT!

REFRIGERATE THE LASAGNE, TO STIFFEN IT.

ONCE FIRM, CUT IT UP IN PORTION SIZE PIECES.

WRAP EACH PIECE IN THAT REYNOLDS CLEAR WRAP.

THEN PUT EACH PIECE INTO THOSE FREEZER BAGS. MAYBE TWO OR THREE TO A BAG. THEN FREEZE IT.

KEEP SOME SIDE GRAVY FOR THE WARM UP. MICRO WAVE REHEAT IS FINE. THAW IT, THEN HEAT IT.

SOUNDS GOOD, I'LL BRING THE WINE!

as long as it's freezer safe sure you can freeze in it. wrap with heavy duty aluminum foil.

you can freeze it as long as you warm it in a oven!

You can freeze in the cornngware, but be careful when reheating. Make sure that you put the lasagna in the refrigerator and let it thaw before heating. Going from freezer directly to oven can crack the glass. Next time, use a foil pan. Much better choice.

It shouldn't be a problem to freeze in a corningware dish. Just make sure to thaw it completely before you put it in the oven, if you don't you risk breaking the dish and ruining the lasagna.

Oh, yeah! :) It's fine to freeze in the corning ware, after it's cooled to room temperature. Just don't put it in the oven while frozen; slight chance of cracking the glass. Instead, allow it to thaw on counter, or put in a sink of tepid (not hot) water about 1 inch deep. It'll be great :)

Yes it would be fine to freeze it in the dish but in the future i would buy one of those big tinfoil throw away baking pans and freeze it that way. I freeze meat juices in glass jars all the time to use later for soups and sauces. I just don't fill them to the top as it expands when frozen and the glass will break if it is sealed and too full.

I always freeze leftover lasagne in individual portions, using single serving sized plastic freezer containers. That way it is handy for throwing into a lunchbox on the way out the door.

You can freeze it in the Corning Ware, but then you have to cook the entire thing at once.

Be extremley careful with thawing the dish. I has one explode into tiny pieces all over my kitchen from heating it to fast.
