I LOVE Persian food! It's great! If you want to be safe, order Kabobs, that's a pretty 'tame' style of Persian. But if you wish to explore the ethnic aspects of this delicious cuisine, I would go with 'kashk-e bademjan' which is an eggplant dish cooked with lots of garlic and olive oil and a Persian sun dried yogurt...i really can't say enough good things about this dish, it is SO flavorful! 'Must-o-Khiar' is a wonderfully refreshing yogurt-dill-cucumber dip. It's refreshing and it cleanses the pallet with every bite! With these two things, we always order 'Salad-e Shirazi'. A beautiful blend of fresh, ripe garden veggies..tomato, cucumber, onion, parsley, mint, and lemon juice. Generally we order these things, along with a side of rice, and with the pita that's served, we use our imaginations and cravings to make the greatest little sandwiches and wash it down with a mug of Jasmine tea.
I just LOVE Persian food, I hope you'll find you like it as well. Don't hesitate to ask what's the most popular item on the menu! Good luck...I'm jealous!

Is good I especially like the spices.

It is similar to alot of the other Middle Eastern cuisine, they ike to use more beef and lamb a smattering of veal, breads are alot more refined and overall Persian cuisine in Iran and outside of Iran is more upscale, not as many fried foods.

And for me I like there style of desserts to those from Egypt and Syria, 2 of the other clasic old world cusines, I had a nice Iranian BBQ around the corner in one area of North York, a suburb of Toronto and it was a great place, the portions were huge and you got an appetizer plate of pita, radishes, basil, onions and fresh parsley.

Yes I like them you can order "Ghorme Sabzi", "Khoreshte' Gheime", "Kebabs", "'kashk-e bademjan", "Baghali Ghatogh" & "Shash Kebab"...

If you like Greek food, you will like Persian. It is on my top three.

terrible
