Why does the tea in a Chinese restaurant taste so much better?!

Question: Any receipes for this out there?

Answers: Any receipes for this out there?

Ask what kind of tea it is. It's probably a special blend for the restaurant. My Chinese restaurant serves a combination of black and green tea. It's really good. I asked.

Maybe because they use only one kind of leaves, a lot of teas in supermarkets are blends.

In my opinion, tea in Chinese restaurants do not taste better. If anything, it tastes even worse. It seems really cheap and bland to me.

Try buying ones from herb stores or your local Chinatown.

Then again, I am a Chinese female residing in Los Angeles... so I'm pretty sure my opinion isn't universal.

Maybe you're just partial to jasmine tea. I know I like it a lot better than regular black, orange pekoe, etcetera.

I don't know...a waitress even gave me some of their tea to make at home and I couldn't even come close to their taste..

I know right ? So good I agree with you. Makes me want to go get Chinese food and some tea. lol. It sounds so good. I wish I knew how they made it. xx Sug
