Why don't I like sushi?!

Question: No jokes. Difficult for me to understand. It looks good, smells good, don't have any problem with the raw-food idea. Have not even tried it! Just know I don't want to. But why damnit?

you're not a Japanese? well, even if you're not, don't assume that every Japanese person loves to eat sushi or sashimi. just it will be surprising to hear also if a Japanese doesn't eat sushi/sashimi. it's only a matter of being used to eat it and get acquainted with that kind of food. most people who don't eat raw materials such as raw fish has a big tendency to get allergy. just like me the first time i tried to eat the sushi, i got all big red rashes all over my body. but i thought it was not the cause from the raw fish esp the red meat (maguro/tuna). i went to the doctor and was diagnosed to be allergy of raw fish. but i ate again and same result i got. for about 5times attempting to eat, my body seemed to get used of it and until then, oh geez, i really love it. sushi doesn't only compose of raw fish, but there also like the octopus; squid; clams; sea shells, and the like. to get acquainted, go to a sushi restaurant with a friend who eats. then try to look at him/her while eating. if you feel like to taste, have one in your mouth. chew and try to analize the taste. if you feel like to puke/vomit because you can't stand eating raw fish, excuse yourself and go to the toilet. the sushi master will surely understand you and may give you a cup of hot tea. tea can dissolve/twist the bad taste. after one experience of having that, try it again next time, til you get used.
*precautions: do not force yourself to swallow what you cannot stand to swallow as you will only blow it out instead.

I think Sushi is something you have to get used to. The first Time I tried it, I though it was ok, was not bad or anything..But now I love it and can eat it anytime.

Maybe because it is a foreign food and it's not the type of food you're used to being near or eating. It is a hard food to like. You have to develop a palette for it. The first time I tried it, I hated it, but now, I'm addicted.

I won't even touch it I am not into fish, except tuna and catfish.
Raw fish just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach. Most of my family loves the stuff but I can go into a restaurant with them and sip the green tea and let them eat all they want and I am just fine.
I don't even get hungry in one of the those places!

You haven't tried it but you are saying you don't like it? There's your problem.

Sushi isn't necessarily raw all of the time, you can try the deep fried sushi, they're really good
