How do the Germans serve their bratwursts, kielbasa, etc?!

Question: I am not interested in serving it American style (on a hot dog bun.) Rather, I would like to serve it in the traditional German way. What do they serve their sausages with when they have it as a meal?

Bratwurst is served with potato salad and sauerkraut.
Sausages (fried or heated) are mostly served with potato salad or with mashed potatoes ore heated, with mustard, pickles and bread.

I lived in Germany for 5 years and heres what I have observed at resteraunts, Imbus's and Fests.

Brats are served on a round crusty roll, they just stick right out each side of it.

Often sliced and served with a curry sauce and french fries.

Whole on a plate with a side of boiled potatos or potato salad.

With sauerkraut and juniper berries and kartoffelsalat (potato salad with mayonnaise). Guten Appetit! {:-)

Bratwurst is served in a few different ways - with a german roll and mustard, with suerkraut and potato salad or mashed potatoes, as curry wurst, cut up, then slathered with katchup and curry and a roll on the side.
