Food question about Suchi?!

Question: Besides California Rolls, what else is good... and not raw tasting??

Answers: Besides California Rolls, what else is good... and not raw tasting??

Some sushi restaurants have a descriptions of what's in their sushi. If they don't have one, you can always ask the server what they offer that is cooked.

Some good cooked sushi include Spider roll (softshell crab) and volcano roll (sometimes called lava roll- it's basically california roll with cooked scallops in sauce on top). Sushi with tempura shrimp or eel (cooked with a sweet sauce) is also good.

If you try raw fish, the only one I recommend is salmon. It doesn't have a strong fishy taste like other raw fish.

SUSHI not suchi for starters.

Most sushi is good, try small portions and see what you like. Don't fear the raw fish, there really isn't anything you can catch from saltwater fish.
I'm a big fan of the spicy tuna, myself ... failing that, there is always some kind of cooked shrimp available.

try a spider roll..cooked softshell crab etc, tasty, octopus is cooked, or at least tastes cooked, eel is broiled.raw yellowfin tuna is a good place to start with the raw stuff. mild and tender

Ebi (steamed shrimp) sushi, Tamago (rolled sweet omelet) sushi, Tako (steamed octopus) sushi, Kani (cooked crabsticks) Sushi, Unagi (BBQ eel) sushi.
