焼き鳥 やきとり, (or "yaki-tori") just means "grilled bird", and usually refers to chicken on a skewer, though here in the West, we often use the term to mean anything grilled on a skewer on the hibachi.

You American, you so funny, you will call pork grilled on a skewer "grilled Pork bird"!

Yaki means Fried or Grilled, Tori means chicken. Yakitori is grilled chicken, usually on a tabletop Hibachi.

Yakiniku is Beef grilled on a special metal implement set over a tabletop gas stove.

Yakisoba is fried soba noodles, more like stir-fried.

Googling "yakitori" yields the fastest results you know. Better than waiting a longass time for people to respond. It takes like 0.003 seconds for a webpage to pop up. It takes around 3 hours to get a legit answer, if you're even lucky. Not only is Google faster, but it gives you like 50 pages of endless yakitori articles. Go Wikipedia it, for crying out loud!!
