Answers: you hear about other ethnic foods, but i never heard of an african restaurants.

Ethiopian, Moroccan, Egyptian are the most common but if you go to larger cities like NYC, you'll find more specialized restaurants from Nigeria, S. Africa, Ghana....

If you live in a city with alot of diversity there are probably a few. I'm in columbus and we have a few Ethiopian restaurants and several Somalian ones.

Ethiopian restaurants have very good inexpensive food. I like injera and the spicy stews a lot.

we have this really good ethiopian restaurant and it rocks!!! best food ever

I agree with you..
IS Ethiopia and Somali representative of all Africa..??
I don't think so
I count at least 30 nation on the continent..
None who live in peace..
as for the news media from Africa,,, all you hear is devastation and muslim murder.. and pirates off the coast .. Sorry

Here in Toronto Canada, I regularly go to Ethiopian, Nigerian, Ghanian, Eritrean, Egyptian and Moroccan. I had a kosher buthcer shop when I worked in Norht York who sold all beef South African Boure Worst.

Alot has to do with the African community in your town or area, I used to go to a Ghanian place she lady was so friendly, she did a Okra and Goat Stew with a fufu that would melt you watch band.

There are tons in my area, which is pretty diverse. I haven't tried any except for a few Ethiopian ones. Delish!
