Well to some it may be an acquired taste!

Anyways, the best way to eat it is to get a little side dish and add some to soy sauce & squeeze a bit of lemon to add some flavor!

Then you have a lovely dipping sauce!!!!

I would never just eat a glob of it on top of sushi. That sounds a little crazy.... =)

'To each his own" as they say.

i think its weird and spicy. it like green! ewww!? lol.

It's not bad...generally, people who like horseradish will like wasabi.

I like the taste just dont exhale through your nose or you will burn the crap outta yourself. Just taste hot to me but thats what I like.

maybe you don't like the things in it i don't i no my friend likes it it taste horrible to me

its really good!!~~kinda spicy tho!

It's a type of horseradish and some folks just can't handle the burn it gives your sinuses. Some people love it. Oddly enough though, it's usually the seaweed or the fish in sushi that turns some people off when it comes to taste... Usually it isn't the taste of wasabi that bothers people, it's the burn.
Work up your tolerance for it!

\You can put it on any sushi. there isn't just the one w/wasabi. I love it. Its adds a little spice to the sushi.

uncooked fish can have micro-organisms living in it.
wasabi makes it safe to eat uncooked fish

similar reason Mexicans have chilli and Indians have curry

Wasabi paste is a mixture of horseradish, mustard with a drop of green food color. This paste is usually what is served with sushi.

Well maybe you had the bad kind of it thats kind of liquid.
I mix it with soy sauce and dip sushi in it. It's good!

Wasabi is WONDERFUL! Perhaps you just did not put enough of it on?

Who can taste it? It's so freakin' HOT!

Its a japanese horseradish. I like it in small doses.

it tastes great to me- I love the pungency. My favorite snack is wasabi peas
