Can your throat blee from spicy food?!

Question: Well, spicy food can irritate your stomach lining if you're prone to ulcers. So I'd guess it's possible that if you're throat's already irritated, then spicy food will bother it. You might want to talk to your doctor, though and find out what exactly is going on.

Spicy food does aggrevate acid production. If you have esophagial reflux (where the stomach acid gets out of the stomach into the troat) then you throat could get irritated and bleed. This can be serious. You should see your doctor.

I think you should see a doctor straight away....there are some ingredients in Indian food that cn cause harm to your throat. I know that monosodium glucamate is cancerous so I hope you are not eating a lot of that. It is banned in some countries. I hope its nothing more that ulcers and that it will go away soon but its better to be sure than sorry. Haldi or its other name tumeric is used as a medicine....for burns and for ailements in the stomach....the most likely causes would be garam masala which means hot spices and these are cloves the large black cardomom chillies black pepper and ginger. Some of these ingredients are good as medicines for other ailments e.g. ginger is good for arthritis....jeera and ginger boiled for sometime and used as tea water is good for colds also. Some of the "red" colouring in Indian spices is not safe at all .

In my hometown, there was this pizzeria who, I swear on my mother's favorite cooking book, who had the world's most spiciest hotwings. (I love hot wings, so I should know) It contain habe?ero peppers, but habe?ero can only get so hot. These wings, after about 15, made my throat bleed. (my mouth is a little numb, so I require very seasoned foods to taste it) I later found out, that they were put out of business because their hotwing sauce contained a chemical that was banned by the FDA, because it was prone to ulcers. Needless to say, at age 17, I received my first ulcer.

Esophageal ulcers or stomach ulcers can cause this, please go see your primary care physician ASAP!
