What things do you need to make sushi rolls?!

Question: I tried this "texan roll" at a japanese restaurant with my friend about a week ago and it was REALLY good. I want to make it at home, but don't know how.

I know it has the rice on the outside and then the seaweed, and it's got cream cheese, jalapenos, avocado, and smoked salmon in the middle, and it's rolled in fried onions on the outside.

But to roll the sushi, what do I need and how do I make the rice?

you need nori (dried seaweed), the ingredients inside the sushi, and sushi rice

sushi rice is rice thats mixed with salt, sugar, and vinegar. back before when sushi was introduced to japan from china, they needed to find a way to preserve fish. they used rice mixed with vinegar.

You've got to get specific sushi-grade rice, it can be hard to find. People say you need the bamboo mat, but I don't waste my time. I just put some plastic wrap on the counter and assemble the ingredients on top, and then roll and lightly squeeze...

EDIT: I just checked and the rice you need is meshi rice...it should have sushi/sashimi directions on the side.
