Design brief = a description of what you are trying to create. For example, a pasta sauce that will appeal to a family that has both fish eaters and vegetarians.
Target market = families with a working Mom who wants low cal nutrious meals and a Dad or teenage son who likes hearty meals. They need something fast, something meat or fish can be added to some but not all the servings, ntritional needs met with or without the addition, etc.
Product = An irradiated pouch containing a milk product based pasta sauce with lots of veggies artichokes, peppers, onions, garlic, peas, whatever, to be poured over pasta of choice that cooked fish or chicken can be added to.
This is an example. You can flesh it out with 4 or 5 sentences for each paragraph or make up you own idea.
create something like a new sandwich or salad. write a brief outline of what is in it.
Who willl buy it? lunchtime crowd? dinner? target for kids or moms?
why do they need a new salad? (because McD's is real bad for you)
Is this your homework assignment in there, aren't you suppose to look it up so you can remember how to do it, I would help you out but I don't know how to look it up.
Well, think of your target audience first because that will help you decide what type of pasta sauce to market. If you want it for kids, make it more saucey, less chunky...that's not very interesting, so...
I'd go with some fresh garden vegetables with roasted garlic...lots of veggies. People are into fresh and organic right now. So, if you want a tomato based sauce, something like that is good.
Or you could go with an olive oil base with fresh herbs.
So for your design, state what is in it and why you chose that for your target audience.
