Coq au Vin is a popular one - it's chicken in wine and really delicious!

Bouillabaise.(boo-yah-beys) it is a dish made from fish and other seafoods.

France has such a rich culinary history that I wouldn't be able to select one dish as its proudest national food. There are literally hundreds of classics which originate in France. Things like bouillabaisse, cassoulet, various confits, tarts cakes will surely be mentioned but I reckon the nations favourite is .........

wine!

bread (esp. baguettes)
pastries

how about horse they are in to that as well there weirdos god i can pick up snails walking along my back path but i wouldn,t consider making a meal of them give me a steak any day

SOOOO many! But one of my favourites is fish soup. Absolutely phenominal. Have that with french bread, aioli and wine.

ants with chocolate
and escargots

most famous, thx to Disney: ratatouille!

Foie Gras. The liver of an overfed duck. Amazing.

Boeuf Bourguignon
Quiche Lorraine
Bouillabaisse
Vichyssoise......

the french like escargoes in garlic butter in other words snails and they are served live if not frogs legs and that tastes like chicken.
