Answers: i asked my mexican friend and he said he wasnt sure either lol

Your Mexican male friend probably knows nothing about cooking at all. Typical male behavior.

The first two are wholly American creations. The remaining three are Mexican. A Burrito is a folded tortilla with a filling which is normally meat and cheese with avocado. Fajitas are strips of meat taken from the girdle of meat around the stomach of a cow. This used to be considered waste meat and got sent to Mexico, but when it became a hit, then it made a comeback in the USA. The price got hiked as well.

Tacos are rolled up tortillas filled with just about anything. Tortillas are the flat soft cakes of corn or wheat flour which are the equivalent of bread in Mexico. Enchiladas are rolled up corn tortillas, filled with crumbled cheese or chicken, and smothered in sauce and shredded cheese.

Anywhere from .10 cents to .25 cents.

Burritos-whatever is available wrapped in a flour tortilla
Fajitas-marinated meat, traditionally beef or pork but can be anything, cooked on the girll and served with tortillas, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo
Tacos-whatever is available wrapped in a corn tortilla
Tortillas-a flat bread made of wheat flour or corn meal
Enchiladas-typically made with meat but can be bean or even just cheese, wrapped in tortillas, covered with sauce and baked
Stacked enchiladas-chile con carne, beans, cheese, pico degallo and lettuce layered between corn tortillas fried crunchy

Not much - almost all have the same ingredients, just depends on how they are prepared and served to you! =)

All are Mexican foods.
The difference is a burrito is a soft flour tortilla with any kind of filling.
Fajitas is thinly sliced meat that is cooked up with onions, green peppers and jalapenos served in a soft flour tortilla.
Tacos is ground seasoned meat served in a corn tortilla fried until crisp. Topped with tomato, lettuce and shredded cheese.
Tortillas are made out of flour and is either filled or on the side to use as a way to grab food from your plate.
Enchiladas is made by frying corn tortillas and then dipping then into red chili sauce then filled, rolled and topped with cheese.
I hope I helped in some small way....

The way they wrap the tortilla! No??? Hmmm lol.

Fajitas were an Americanized version or Tex Mex version of Mexican food. Tortillas are the bread source for most Mexican families. Burritos are tortillas wrapped with meat, beans, cheese, onions, etc. Tacos are what we call a Mexican sandwich with the same type ingredients going into it as the burrito plus lettuce, tomatoes. Enchiladas are like burritos but they are placed side by side in a pan and covered with a sauce, usually tomato, and baked in the oven with most recipes calling for 350 degrees and 30 minutes to an hour baking time.

Burritos and fajitas are NOT authentic mexican. Tortillas are what you wrap your tacos with. And enchiladas are in fact Mexican, however they are nothing like what you get here in the US. Traditional enchiladas are made with red tortillas, fresh cheese and that's it!!! No chicken, no red sweet sauce, no cheddar cheese.
