What do a native German 23 yr old female generally eat for lunch?!

Question: I know that is a difficult question to ask and the diet may change based on personal preference.

But, my son's Germany female friend (from south west Germany) doing her graduate studies (at a university at south east Netherlands) will fly to america staying in my house for 2 weeks, and I need to prepare her lunch while my son is working during the day.

Any suggestions of some simple dishes or sandwiches (bread, meat, bread spread & vegetable) that make her feel at home? Thanks.

I do indend to cook the american way for DINNER as I have other family members to take care of, and I do hope to introduce her to american food for dinners.

I think she would prefer you to make what you normally would , did you know they have McDonald's in Germany ?:))

same as what any native german would eat

Don't make her German food, she gets that all the time! Feed her what you eat.

Bratwurst!!! Yum!!!

well, i lived in germany for 5 years. so here are some of the foods that were popular, snitzel, bratwurst, french fries with lemon juice, and then we had these little pizza's on a bread loaf, its all good.
