Where did these foods originate.?!
Answers: I have to look up a Italian food for geography class, and i have to get the recipes and find out where the food came from. I have the recipes for Chicken Alfredo, and for Ravioli. i just need to know where the foods originated from. thanks oh and please provide sources i need to have sources for where the food came from. i looked it up on wikipedia and my mom helped me and i couldn't find anything so your help would be grately appricated thankyou.
Chicken Alfredo isn't very authentic Italian. It's more of an American creation. Fettuccine Alfredo is the Italian dish, and it's a relatively recent invention:
"History: In 1908, Alfredo di Lelio, a small restaurateur and chef, living above his small Rome restaurant with his pregnant wife, created Fettuccine Alfredo to tempt the palate of his pregnant wife who had lost her appetite and was becoming weaker. Alfredo decided that he would invent a dish that his wife could not resist. His restaurant, II Vero Alfredo, and the dish bearing his name became world famous in 1927 when Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, American movie stars on their honeymoon, ate at his restaurant and were impressed with the dish.
