Where is the best sushi in the world?!
Answers: I lived in Japan for a few years and I've been to hundreds of sushi restaurants. You're going to find the best sushi in the Aomori prefecture but more specifically, the best is in Misawa. There is a little restaurant called Yamaso Sushi and it has a mural of cats preparing sushi on the outside wall. The head chef there is Sosei and he's the best in the world. Out of all the places I've been, this place has consistently served the absolute best sushi I've ever had.
Of course, It's in Japan... You must go there to try for yourself. I'm trying to go back to visit with my best friend who loves sushi!
At my grandparent's fish and shellfish market and sushi bar near Matsushima (in Miyagi Prefecture-northeast of Tokyo and Sendai). The tiny market has been in the family for over 350 years, but my uncles also prepare the freshest sushi and sashimi for neighborhood workers and friends (tucked away; hard to find; no english speaking=no tourists)
In Japan, of course!
Japanese chefs are the ONLY qualified sushi chefs in the world; I don't eat sushi if it's not made by Japanese.
I've never been to Japan but sushi in Hawaii is pretty damn good!
