Fillings in a basic rice ball?!

Question: I really want to try making rice balls, but I don't want to go out and buy anything right now ... is there anything that would be basic and easy to get that would go in a rice ball?

If you mean the sweet rice ball, you can use any fruity filling like jam or pie filling. Sweet potato works well too.

If you mean the savory rice ball, you can use sauteed onion, cheese, smoked fish, or chopped deli meat.

How about grated parmesan cheese? . Also chopped cooked spinach that's got all the water squeezed out of it. Try Rachael Ray's recipes online!
