Questions about wasabi?!
2.) I heard it can help with bacteria (like to kill anything bad that might be in your body)--for example, that may come from raw sushi. Is that true?
3.) How do you know when you've been served REAL wasabi? I hear most times you are served the fake one which is made from powder or something. I wouldn't know how to tell the difference I guess.
Answers: 1.) Do you like Wasabi? I love it. Particularly with sushi but also with other stuff. I like the burning feeling it gives me in my nose LOL (maybe I'm a masochist XD)

I use Wasabi quite often when i cook. I don't know about the bacteria aspect. You can only know if it's true if you grow and harvest it yourself...

Most commercial wasabi is "horseradish" based that's why it gives the burning sensation. The real stuff is grated from the 'root" and like most FRESH products your CAN taste the difference.
1. i love wasabi and love it with sushi but one time i ate a spoonful of it and i started to cry cuz the burn in my nose was so bad. i went crazy

3. the powdered stuff is not always fake it just depends on the kind or brand u get. but i get the stuff in the tube anyway. we always get the powdered stuff just in case i run out of the paste

Well, i don't know too much about that but my brother says it does. (that's how he got me too eat it the first time!) ^ ^
and you can only tell if you grow it, or by its color/aroma. its supposed to me a middle green color, and is supposed too smell SPICY!! ^ ^ v
