Answers: There were some giant dried lotus leaves at the Asian Market. I wonder what you can do with them.

I have used them when I was a chef in both Singapore and Japan, the first fellow is right you use them for steaming or baking foods like fish or stuffed meats like chicken or pork, they use them in Hawaii for a wrap around the pigs at Luau's
Taste wise and bit earthy, slightly smokey (that is how they dry them over fires) not offensive, we used them for rice dumplings, steaming whole or fillets of fish with mushrooms and other seasonings, and you can even wrap pork roasts and roast them slowly in the oven for that Hawaiian Luau taste, without having to dig a pit.
In Thailand they also use them for steaming rice in bamboo steamers for both sweet and plain Jasmine Rice, sometimes the Black Sticky rice is done in them also. They keep for ever, you just have to soak them in water to soften them and you can use the center spine for a tie when making bundles by splitting the leaves in half.

Dear friend, you do not eat them. But they are of great use. If you wanna cook rice, just use the leave to wap it up and steam it, it will give a unique taste.
In the same manner, you can use it to cook chicken, pork or even fished. The food cooked using the leave is wonderful.

lotus leaves is use as a natural fragrant wrap and steam it or bake it..
way to use it...
-> for dry leave you go to soak in hot water and soften it . for fresh leaves , just wrap clean and place over a warm flat pan, (no oil) and heat it till the leave soften( flip it so that the leave will not burnt)
->Place the leaf on a flat table with the smooth side facing you
->Place the ingredients/ meat/ rice (uncook) on leaf and wrap it a blanket. use a string to secure the leaf
-> for baking( only for meat or veg) : wrap the food leaf parcel with aluminium wrap and before sealing ,pour about 5 tablespoon of water into the wrap and seal . this is to prevent the leaf from drying up.
Fresh don't so tasty... Dry look better...
