What are some good low fat South Indian foods to order in a resturant?!

Question: Lemon Rice
Tamarind Rice
Idli
Sambhar

For Dosa and Uttapam, it would depend on how much oil is used on the griddle when preparing it. The batter itself does not have fat.

For chutneys, you can choose from tamarind, tomato and coriander chutney for low fat. Coconut chutneys are good but coconut itself is fatty.

idlis & dosa are perfect low fat foods

Idli n Dosa with Chutney n Sambar are common........so......i insist upon eating APPAMS n any CHICKEN or Mutton dish.....but i recommend CHICKEN CHETTINAD....YUMMM...

idli and uttapam. Most condiments like coconut chutney and sambhar are also low on fat content.

Idlis with sambar (the chutney is coconut and thus very calorific), Appams with stews, upmav, Idiappam (string hoppers)

Idlis are the best, because they are steamed...and then comes ''idiyappam'' (noodle like idlis steamed) or perhaps ''appams'' all are steamed not oiled like dosas...dosas are pancakes which needs oil and are crisp...

I would go for Idlis..with loads of hot chutney...or appams which have no oil, served with chutney or korma...
