What's the difference between Soy, Teriaki, and Worcestershire sauce?!
Answers: Sorry. I know I spelled Teriaki (Teriyaki?) wrong. But I really would like to know. They're all similar...
They are all excellent sauces! Great for adding flavor.
Soy Sauce is made out of soybeans, of course. This one usually is preferred or used for flavoring fried rice, stir-fried vegetables and even for coloring for its dark brown color. It tastes salty. You can buy the reduced-salt kind because the flavor is as good as the salty one. There are different types of soy sauce and depending on the thickness, they originate from different Asian countries like Japan and China.

Teriyaki sauce is a similar sauce, but this one is kind of a sweet sauce. This Japanese sauce is great for grilling, roasting, and broiling meats. If you want to use it for stir-frying I recommend that you add it at the very end of cooking because it caramelizes fast and your food will stick very fast and burn if you are not careful. The taste, though, is great and it's a thicker sauce.

Worcestershire sauce is a sauce used mainly for seasoning meats or vegetables, barbecues and thickening sauces. Even though it's known as "English sauce" its roots are from India and it's particular ingredient is "tamarind" which is a sweet and sour pulp that is found in tropical countries.

Soy sauce is more on the salty side. teriyaki is more sweet and Worcestershire is more spicy. They are all made from a base of soy sauce and then sugar or vinegar and spices are added.
Soy sauce or soya sauce is a fermented sauce made from soybeans, roasted grain, water and salt. The sauce, originating in China, is used widely in East and Southeast Asian cuisines and appears in some Western cuisine dishes.
In non-Japanese cultures any dish made with a teriyaki-like sauce or with added ingredients such as sesame or garlic is described as teriyaki. The word teriyaki derives from the noun teri, which refers to a shine or luster given by the sugar content in the tare, and yaki, which refers to the cooking method of grilling or broiling. The tare is traditionally made by mixing and heating soy sauce, sake or mirin, and sugar or honey. The sauce is boiled and reduced to the desired thickness, then used to marinate meat which is then grilled or broiled. Sometimes ginger is added.
Worcestershire sauce is a widely used fermented liquid condiment. "Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce", lists the following ingredients on the label: malt vinegar (from barley), spirit vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, anchovies, tamarind extract, onions, garlic, spices (including cloves), and flavouring.
